On 25 May, the exhibition ‘Balance: a sensory journey into the art of Michele Carpani’ was inaugurated at the Oliero Cave Complex. The exhibition, which saw the active collaboration of the Audiogiro team, was enthusiastically received by those present.
Particularly appreciated was the possibility of associating listening to the audio guides, produced in two languages, with the tactile sensation transmitted by the work.
"The exhibition was conceived to make the less fortunate participate." explains the artist Michele Carpani, "The subject represented remains in relief and therefore the blind and visually impaired are able to touch it with their hands, making a real sensory journey."
The exhibition was also attended by, among others, the Alpine Stars and Alpine Guides Association for the Blind and the Vicenza section of the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Both expressed their support for this important initiative, hoping that other inclusive and accessible artistic events could be organised in the future.
Audiogiro's CEO Domenico Baggio explained how this fits in perfectly with the company's mission: “Our goal is to give people the opportunity to listen to what they see in front of them, immersing themselves in the stories of cities, monuments, cultural attractions and works of art. Through the collaboration with Michele Carpani, we have been able to combine the theme of listening with that of inclusivity, realising a multisensory project that also meets the needs of people with disabilities.”
The exhibition will be open until 30 May during the opening hours of the Oliero Caves.
