The Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa inaugurated a new exhibition titled “Renaissance in black and white: the art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615)” on March 2nd. Visitors to the exhibition can admire ninety incredible engravings, the works of some of the greatest artists of the Renaissance, including Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronese, Dürer, Mantegna, and many others. The works are displayed in a suggestive setting designed by theater director Andrea Bernard, which allows viewers to appreciate the works with the due respect for their delicacy and state of preservation.
This event marks the first collaboration with Audiogiro, which hosts the exhibition's audio guides on its platform. The director of the Civic Museums, Barbara Guidi, personally recorded the audio content that users will find at the entrance of the exhibition, guiding them through a conceptual journey to discover the ninety incredible engravings presented at the exhibition. The audio guides, available in both Italian and English, are completely free and can be listened to by scanning the QR code with one's smartphone.
This collaboration, the first with such an important entity as the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa, follows the one inaugurated last year with the Civic Tower of Bassano, with the support of the municipality's cultural department. Audiogiro continues its policy of expansion across the territory and dissemination of cultural content through its platform, not only for "permanent" sites and attractions but also for temporary exhibitions and events.
The exhibition “Renaissance in black and white: the art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615)” is open, unless extended, until June 23rd. All information can be found on the website of the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa.
The audio guide can obviously be listened to by anyone, even from home, and can be found in Italian and English at this link. Enjoy it!
